What you will learn

This is a excellent project for the beginner who wants to learn about furniture conservation, restoration and upholstery.

The wooden frame proudly boasts it’s age with bumps and bruises and some attention is needed on it’s old joints.

You will be guided through both the restoration and fixing of the woodwork. The upholstery can either be new fabric or leather, the choice is yours. It is fixed upholstery (no sewing machine required).

Depending on your skill level, we would estimate around 4 – 8 weeks to complete this project. Maybe less if you are keen to work on your chair at home between classes.

Before you buy

You are most welcome make an appointment to visit the chair at workshop and meet us for a face to face chat before purchasing. Please note you are buying the chair only and materials and fabrics needed to transform this chair can be purchased during the classes or we can point you in the right direction to some of our favourite upholstery suppliers to ensure you achive your perfect look.
