Booking, Orders & Cancellation Policy
At Stevenson & Soames, we aim to be fair, transparent, and clear about how bookings, orders, cancellations, and refunds work.
Ordering

Orders can be placed via this website or directly with us where agreed.

Some items are made to order or bespoke and may require additional delivery arrangements.

Once an order is confirmed, we will be in touch to discuss delivery options and costs where applicable.
Returns & Eligibility

Stock items may be returned within 14 days of purchase

Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
-
Proof of purchase is required
-
Bespoke or commissioned items (including upholstery work) are non-returnable
Returns Process

Approved returns will be given instructions for return

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or supplied in error
Refunds (Products)

Returned items will be inspected on receipt

Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days

Refunds are issued to the original payment method
-
Please allow additional time for banks or card providers to process refunds
Exchanges
-
We only replace items if they are faulty or damaged

Please contact us within 7 days of receipt if an exchange is required
Booking & Payment

Courses must be booked and paid for in full to secure a place
-
Places cannot be held without payment
-
Courses are suitable for adults aged 18+
-
Payment may be made online or in the workshop (where agreed)
Cancellation by You
-
Upholstery courses are generally non-refundable
-
You may send someone else in your place, subject to suitability
-
Refunds may be offered only if we are able to re-sell your place
-
No refunds are issued once a course has started
-
There are no make-up sessions for missed classes
Statutory Cooling-Off Period

You have the statutory right to cancel within 14 days of booking, provided the course has not started
-
After this period:
-
More than one month before start date: a 50% refund or transfer may be offered
-
Less than one month before start date: no refund will be issued

Cancellation by Stevenson & Soames

If we need to cancel a course, we will give as much notice as possible
-
You will be offered an alternative course or a full refund
-
We cannot accept responsibility for third-party costs (e.g. travel or accommodation)
About Book a Bench
-
Book a Bench sessions are individual three-hour supported workshop sessions
-
Each booking applies to a single session only
-
Booking a session does not guarantee availability on future dates
Booking & Payment
-
All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance
-
Payment secures your place for the selected date and time
-
Sessions are limited to a maximum of four students
Minimum Numbers
-
Sessions run when three or more students are booked
-
If minimum numbers are not met, you will be contacted in advance and offered:

A full credit to rebook another Book a Bench session, or
-
An alternative available date where possible
-
Cancellation or Changes by You
Due to the small group size, Book a Bench sessions are non-refundable. However, we aim to be fair where possible:
14 days’ notice or more

Transfer to another available Book a Bench date, or
-
Full credit for a future session
7–13 days’ notice
-
A 50% credit may be offered
Less than 7 days’ notice
-
No transfer or credit can be offered
Transferring Your Place
-
You may send another suitable person in your place with prior approval
-
They must be familiar with basic upholstery processes and workshop safety
Cancellation by Stevenson & Soames
-
If a session is cancelled, you will be offered:

A full credit for a future session, or
-
Transfer to another available date
-
One-to-One Upholstery Tuition sessions are arranged individually and reserved specifically for you.
Because this time is set aside exclusively, the following cancellation terms apply:
Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please provide as much notice as possible.

Cancellations made with at least 7 days’ notice may be rearranged, subject to availability.

Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may be chargeable.
-
Same-day cancellations or missed sessions are non-refundable.
Where possible, every effort will be made to offer an alternative date. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Payments
Full payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Your booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received.
