One-to-One Tuition

One-to-One Upholstery Tuition provides dedicated, personalised teaching focused entirely on you and your project.

Working together in our fully equipped workshop, you’ll receive hands-on guidance tailored to your experience level and goals. These sessions offer time, space, and clarity — ideal if you’d like focused support without the structure of a group course.

Who One-to-One Tuition is for

One-to-One Tuition is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous upholstery experience.

It works particularly well if you:

  • Would like focused, individual support

  • Are tackling a specific stage or technique

  • Have a complex or sentimental piece

  • Prefer learning at your own pace

Sessions are structured around your project, allowing techniques to be explored in depth and questions addressed as they arise.

How One-to-One Tuition works

One-to-One Tuition is arranged by enquiry so that your project and learning goals can be discussed in advance.

 

Before your session, you’ll be asked to send a photo and short description of your piece. This allows time to plan the session and ensure it’s structured around what you’d like to achieve.

 

During the session, tuition is entirely focused on you — combining demonstrations, hands-on guidance, and problem-solving to support your project.

Session length & pacing

  • Minimum booking: 2 hours

  • Maximum session length: 5 hours

Longer sessions allow for immersive learning and are ideal for tackling more complex stages.

Sessions are paced to suit you, with breaks taken as needed.

Pricing (2026)

  • £70 per hour

  • Minimum booking: 2 hours

  • Sessions may be booked for up to 5 hours

This price includes:

  • Dedicated one-to-one tuition

  • Use of all workshop tools and equipment

  • Ongoing guidance throughout your session

All prices are fixed for 2026.

Materials are not included but can be purchased separately if required.

This ensures your time in the workshop is used effectively and allows appropriate preparation in advance.

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for workshop use and closed-toe footwear.

Cancelations

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please provide as much notice as possible.

 

Cancellations with sufficient notice may be rearranged subject to availability. Late cancellations may be chargeable.
