Nora The Edward VII Rocking Chair
£0.00
Restored and traditionally Re-Upholstered in a patchwork fabric hand made by reusing wonderful tweed, herringbone, wool, and cashmere from Gentleman’s suits. We just love a bit of repurposing and the end result is this charming fabric that is totally unique in its pattern. We have upholstered another rocking chair in the same style of patchwork and I must say they do make a handsome pair (please see our other items for details on this equally unique chair).
The colours in the antique wood tie in naturally and beautifully with the colours of the weave in the Tweeds. Oozing in the richness of its history. This chair is over 100 years old yet fully restored and revived with traditional techniques including tung nut oil and finished in clear wax. It proudly wears its bumps and bruises that are inevitably part of its history and which bring this vintage charm alive.
The recycled patchwork fabric is framed in a genuine leather strip with decorative upholstery tacks. The leather is hand cut with raw edges to complement both fabric and wood.
All our upholstered items meet UK fire regulations.
