Description
Meet Barkley Bruiser, the tall, dark, and handsome member of The Misfits.
Crafted with locally sourced red oak and standing proudly on repurposed legs from a 1950s Utility dining table, Barkley brings both vintage charm and modern style to your home.
His rough-hewn look is punctuated by a playful surprise—if you look closely, you’ll notice a face emerging from the grain of the wood on the end of the table, giving Barkley a personality all his own. It’s one of the reasons why we affectionately named him “Barkley Bruiser.”
Barkley’s versatility shines through with his compact yet striking form (Height: 44cm | Length: 31cm | Width: 15cm).
Whether he’s holding your favorite plant, acting as a chic side table, or even stepping in as the ideal “bouncer” for your cheese and wine gatherings, Barkley fits effortlessly into any corner of your home.
His natural finish, achieved through the application of teak oil, enhances the richness of the wood while preserving its durability. With his unique personality, Barkley Bruiser is more than just a table—he’s a conversation starter, bringing both style and a little charm to any space he occupies.

The Misfits’ Backstory: A Gang with History
Barkley Bruiser, like the other members of The Misfits, carries a story that stretches back through time. His legs, once part of a 1950s Utility dining table, supported countless gatherings and meals, making him a piece of history reborn.
The red oak that forms his frame was likely harvested from trees that stood for over a century, now given new life in the Stevenson and Soames workshop, where we specialize in turning reclaimed materials into stunning, contemporary pieces.
At Stevenson and Soames, we are proud members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, ensuring that each piece, including Barkley Bruiser, is crafted to the highest standards. Every table in The Misfits collection bears the Stevenson and Soames stamp of authenticity, a mark of quality that guarantees the unique legacy and expert craftsmanship behind each creation.
By choosing Barkley Bruiser, you’re not just investing in a piece of furniture—you’re bringing home a slice of history and supporting the sustainable use of these cherished materials.
